Modifying the Examples

You can modify the examples by setting the CourseBuilder Interaction properties in CourseBuilder for Dreamweaver MX. The HTML file for the examples are located in the Dreamweaver MX\Show Me\ folder.

The example files for version 3 browsers (multi_page_quiz3.htm) and for version 4 browsers (multi_page_quiz4.htm) use a two-frame arrangement to provide an interaction frame and a navigation frame.

The first frame is the interaction frame, which contains the HTML pages for the quiz exercises.

The second frame is the combined navigation and tracking frame. The name of the interaction frame is main, and the name of the navigation frame is nav.

The JavaScript scripts in the navigation frame page track any number of quiz question pages. As the student answers a question, the quiz question CourseBuilder Interaction sends messages to the navigation frame scripts. You can duplicate the scripts shown in the example questions for each question page in your customized quiz. The final page of the interaction frame sequence is a scoring page, which renders the scores of individual questions in bar graph form.
