Privacy and HIPAA Statement
The developer of My Medicine Chest, RAK, wants you to know how we use and protect the important information you provide to us. The following summarizes our policy, procedures, and practices:
- For My Medicine Chest to help you log your medications, and help you organize them to share with your healthcare clinicians, we collect a first name you choose to use which may be fictitious or your real name. That information is saved in a database that also saves information that will enable the Skill to recognize your Amazon/Echo devices. In this way, after you register and open the Skill, it will recognize you and whomever else in your household that has previously registered. For most functionalities, it will ask for the name to be used to store or retrieve information when that functionality is requested.
- That information is not shared with any entity and is used only to enable you to better communicate your medication list with your healthcare clinicians.
- The purpose of this skill is not to provide medical advice. The user of the skill should consult with their physician or pharmacist regarding any questions they may have about their medications.
As far as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA):
- The developer of this skill, Bob Kolock, is neither a covered entity nor a business associate as defined under HIPAA regulations (45 CFR 160.103).
